After coming through a very tumultuous and uncertain year we are launching a hybrid approach to the 2021 Bike Ride. We hope that you can join the Trans NH Bike Ride on June 27th in Portsmouth, NH as the MDA needs your help more than ever. he 2021 hybrid version of the Trans NH Bike Ride will be a major transition step toward what we expect will be a return to normalcy in 2022: the incredible 35th anniversary of the ride. For 2021 we are offering a full-month virtual option (like 2020) along with a one-day in-person ride or a combination of both as described below.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IAFF Executive Board voted to postpone the 55th IAFF Convention until January 25-29, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this decision, there are a lot of questions. While a number of decisions on specifics (dates, processes, etc.) still need to be made, The IAFF is providing the following frequently asked questions (FAQs) as initial guidance.

Crewsense- Frequently Asked Questions Why are we talking about mandating again?  Our original plan was to implement Crewsense with contract language that prohibited mandating.  The Negotiations team developed language in our MOU that would attempt to prevent it.
Manchester Fire 5k

At the November 13th Fire Commission meeting, three Probationary Firefighters were sworn in as Permanent members of the department.  Terrence Bedell, Gregory Tufts, and Nicholas Haskell completed a year long probationary period choke full of training and indoctrination.  Well done gentlemen.

Brothers and Sisters, Providence Firefighters Local 799 has an upcoming issue with lateral transfers. The city is going to be accepting lateral transfers from other departments to the Providence Fire Department. Providence Local 799 is requesting that NO IAFF member apply as part of this lateral transfer process.
