    The 2015 Chester Firefighters Local 1400 Autism Shirts have arrived. Each year members from Local 1400 participate in the Autism Awareness Walk at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. To raise money, these members sell these t-shirts. The shirt sizes are small to 4XL and cost $20 a shirt.

    The U.S. Senate voted last week on final passage of IAFF priority legislation, H.R. 2146, the Defending Public Safety Employees Retirement Act. The bill, championed by Representatives Dave Reichert (R-WA) and Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), now heads to the president for his signature.The passage of H.R. 2146 marks a significant victory for the IAFF and its members.

    Tragedy today in Virginia at World Police and Fire Games

    It with deep saddness that we must report the death of 48 year old bicyclist Carlos Silva from Brazil who was killed today while competing in the World Police and Fire Games in Virginia.  Two other riders, also from Brazil, were transported to nearby hospitals.  Both men are listed in seriuos condition.

    To all Local 1826 Members, There have been several charity events (Dixie Roadhouse nights, Golf Tournament, and on line donations, etc.)  over the past couple of weeks to assist Blaine Burrell fight MS. Collectively there has been roughly $28,000 collected from these events, Thanks to all that have participated. Blaine flew to Israel last Friday and we'll send out the updates.
    811 Run-Walk To Benefit Operation Warm

    811 Run at Lake Calhoun on 8/15 to raise awareness of the importance of calling before you dig.  All proceeds from this run will be split between Minneapolis and Saint Paul Firefighters Operation Warm.  Last year, the 811 Run was our largest single supporter and donated over $7,000 to our mission in Saint Paul.  Say thank you, by helping build this fun event.
