    The Malden Firefighters Local 902 welcome three new firefighters. David Ball, Bradford Bianchi and Andrew Salerno. David Ball served in the U.S. Coast Guard and as a United States Air National Guard Firefighter in Westfield. Bradford Bianchi served in the United States Air Force for four years as an Aircraft Armament Systems Journeyman.

    Serious Accident On SR 46 Results in Multiple Trauma Patients

    East Lake County, FL - Lake Firefighters had to extricate two patients from a multiple vehicle accident including a semi and jeep Cherokee on SR 46 in the area of the 429 construction this Monday afternoon. 6 patients were transported. 3 of those patients were in critical condition and transported to local trauma centers by ground transports.

    Its with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Navy Region Fire & Emergency Service Lt. Chris Rivera. Lt. Rivera was killed in a motorcycle accident while commuting to work at Fire Station 9 at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Funeral arrangements are posted below.     The Kent Firefighters union Local 1747 participated in this years Relay for Life at French Field on May 29-30. The relay, which raises money for cancer research and prevention, consists of teams walking laps around the track at all times during the relay. This year, the relay lasted from 1800 hours on May 29 until 1100 on the 30th.

    AFD Retirees Patrick McKinney, Mark Chavez, Mike McKinstry, Donny Sanchez, Robert Larranaga, Sam Trujillo and Firefighters from Rio Rancho Fire Station 3 built two wheel chair ramps for our retired brother James “Baby Doll” Dahl to assist in his recovery at home from his motorcycle accident.     Hoover, AL Fire Fighters and members of IAFF Local 4035 are upset and angry that a man who shot at them from inside his home and charged with attempted murder was allowed to plea guilty to a lesser charge and received probation as part of his plea agreement with the district attorney office. What really is mind boggling is that this person will receive his seized guns back in 6 months.

    FF. Justin Rainville and R.J. Link graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy on April 10th, 2015. As members of Class 226 both firefighters as well as 21 of their classmates from 12 different Massachusetts communities completed the vigorious 45 day program. Both FF. Rainville and Link were hired by WSFD in September 2014. Both firefighters are Air Force veterans with FF.

    2 WSFD Firefighters graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow. Firefighters Justin Rainville and R.J. Link were members of MFA Class 226 and completed the 45 day training program on April 10th, 2015. Both firefighters were hired in September 2014. FF. Rainville is a veteran of the Air Force serving over seas in various missions.
