PFFNH Fights Back for Taxpayers, Employees and Retirees on Health Care
August 24, 2012 – The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire (PFFNH) has a positive resolution to its decade-long legal fight with the New Hampshire Local Government Center (LGC), a nonprofit organization that manages health insurance pools for public workers and retirees in the state. The PFFNH was the union that took legal action (three times to the state supreme court) against the LGC over suspicions that it violated state statutes by keeping unused insurance money, using collected health insurance premiums for purposes other than health insurance and not returning unused money to the insured.
