Trans NH Bike Ride 2021
Updated On: Dec 28, 2020

The Trans NH Bike Ride Committee would like to welcome all the faithful riders from the 33-year history of the ride to the 34th annual edition of the Trans NH Bike Ride. After coming through a very tumultuous and uncertain year we are launching a hybrid approach to the 2021 Bike Ride. We hope that you can join the Trans NH Bike Ride on June 27th in Portsmouth, NH as the MDA needs your help more than ever.

In 2020, the difficult decision was reached to transform the annual 3-day ride into a virtual event. While riders did not get to enjoy the annual “family reunion” during the beloved 4-day weekend of riding, you, the riders continued to take “The Firefighter Challenge” and rose to the occasion for MDA by raising over $50,000 for MDA families. You prevailed and made the best of it by connecting to one another via weekly zoom calls and small group rides all while continuing to ride to transform the lives of people living with neuromuscular disease, just as you have for the last 32 years. Because of your support, MDA continues to fund research, care and other services for people living with neuromuscular diseases, nationwide and right here in New Hampshire.

The 2021 hybrid version of the Trans NH Bike Ride will be a major transition step toward what we expect will be a return to normalcy in 2022: the incredible 35th anniversary of the ride. For 2021 we are offering a full-month virtual option (like 2020) along with a one-day in-person ride or a combination of both as described below.

Our registration will open on Jan 1 - please register and be a part of the exciting return to in-person cycling! This year, there are several registration options for riders and we'll welcome our support and massage teams back as well. The 2021 ride will start and end at the Cisco Brewery in Portsmouth, NH.

The possibilities of an amazing event day are very encouraging, and we hope you will join us.

Thank you for your trust and support as we move closer to seeing each other once again on June 27, 2021. Stay tuned to hear more exciting news as we unveil more details about the 2021 hybrid approach.

Sincerely,
The Trans NH Bike Ride Committee
